Dear Greylock Independent readers,
I have decided to retire from The Greylock Independent with our November issue.
In the past 2 3/4 years that I’ve been on TGI, I have tremendously enjoyed being the Editor and being able to write and make contacts and real community contributions to our Greylock region, filling an important educational niche that will once again go empty once we leave. But I have been so disgusted and dismayed by our present national political climate in the presidential and congressional campaigns, that, in some small ways, I need to get back to the national and international stage–helping our new President carry out the programs we need, trying to save the environment, enjoying more my children, grandchildren, other animal family members (Jake, Zinnia, Mira), friends, and the beauties of our natural world. It’s time.
There are other people remaining as Members of our non-profit publisher—Citizen Media Inc.—who may want to continue the enterprise in some way. If any of you have any ideas or thoughts in that direction, please contact Bill Densmore <wpdensmore@gmail.com>.
Hope you have enjoyed reading TGI. We are grateful for your support and encouragement, and hope you all will continue to be alert and active in developing and enriching our Greylock community.
Tela Zasloff, Editor
The Greylock Independent
