For the second year in a row, Villari’s Martial Arts Centers in Williamstown is hosting a toy drive to benefit United Cerebal Palsy of Berkshire County.
From October 13 through November 15, 2014, Villari’s collected hundreds of items for their second annual food drive that benefited UCP of Berkshire County. This endeavor was supported by the instructors, students, clients, and their families. With the start of the toy drive, Villari’s is asking those in the Northern Berkshire and Southern Vermont area to join in and help give back to the community. A donation box for new, unopened toys was placed in the studio’s lobby on November 17 and it will remain there until December 20, 2014. Donations for children of all ages would be greatly appreciated.
“We are always discussing the importance of goal setting and expressing the importance of being leaders to our younger students.” said Nathan Sumner, owner and master instructor at Villari’s, when talking about why his school is hosting these charity drives, “These events help us lead by example, allow our students to get involved, give back to the community, and help out a local organization.”
UCP of Berkshire County offers support and advocacy for any individual, regardless of disability, to pursue a fulfilling, self-determined, high-quality community life — a life without limits. For a list of the programs and services we offer, visit http://ucpberkshire.org/
